Key aspects of the CDMP Exam:
- What is it? A certification exam of 100 multiple-choice questions testing knowledge and application of the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK).
- Purpose: To validate that professionals have the skills to handle, govern, and model data - a "seal of approval" for their expertise.
- Certification levels:
- Associate: minimum 60%, little to no experience required
- Practitioner: minimum 70%, 2+ years of experience required, 2 specialty exams with minimum 70%
- Master: minimum 80%, 10+ years of experience and contribution to the field required, 2 specialty exams with minimum 80%
- Significance: Globally recognised, highly regarded in data governance, and often required for advanced data roles.
- Specialty exams: Beyond the core Fundamentals exam, specialised exams are available in:
